The Assistant Site Manager's role is to be accountable to the Site Manager for on-site management and delivery of specified works within the defined time and budget, ensuring safety and effectiveness. They will collaborate with QS, H&S, ISO, technical, and other managers within the company to ensure project success.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support in managing specified works and workforce to meet productivity levels, deadlines, and budgets.
- Contribute to efficient work delivery, communicating requirements to the workforce and aiding in their program sections.
- Coordinate labour and material needs across works/site teams, liaising for timely orders and material deliveries.
- Maintain and build relationships with key client staff, stakeholders, and third parties.
- Take ownership of all aspects of work management within the assigned responsibilities.
- Understand the scope and manage resources for timely and budgeted work delivery.
- Possess and communicate relevant information for work delivery and uphold quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records for all aspects of the works, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with project management to manage subcontractors, orders, budgets, and costs.
- Work with Health & Safety to ensure compliance with the construction phase plan and relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with ISO and Design & Quality for comprehensive service and product delivery management.
- Work with resident liaison to manage and resolve residents' issues.
- Monitor workforce performance through objectives and action plans.
- Ensure timely resolution of contractor and subcontractor issues.
- Attend regular site and management meetings.
- Stay updated with industry regulations, H&S legislation, and company processes.
- Technical – ONC or equivalent qualification/experience in construction.
- Relevant background in cladding/facades.
- Completed or in the process of obtaining a relevant NVQ.
- CSCS card and Site Managers Safety SMSTS.
- Competent user of MS Excel, MS Word, Microsoft Outlook.
- Stay current with industry regulations, H&S legislation, and company processes.
- Undertake necessary training for role delivery.
- Possession of a driving license and access to own vehicle beneficial.
